This is a new page (as of January 2015) where we'll try to summarize results from a new activity aimed at providing small piece of information about prices for organic olive oil and, more broadly, olive oil.
1. The Olive Oil Web Price - OOWP
The first index is the "Olive Oil Web Price - OOWP". The index represents the average price of olive oil sold on the Web. The index is generally calculated at Country level. Far from covering all the olive oil prices on line, it represent the mean price from a representative sample of observations: a brief description of the samples will be provided.
The OOWP is not exhaustive nor precise, but just a way to "feel the pulse" of this peculiar market.
